THE BRIEF

Norrvik needed a launch film for a jacket built for bad weather, shot in bad weather.

WHAT WE BUILT

A two-day film set on black sand: a frame, a camera track and a very patient crew.

A launch film shot on black sand in one grey morning. We built nothing but a frame and waited for the fog.

THE STORY

The brief

Norrvik’s new shell is made for the North Atlantic. The film had to prove it without anyone saying so.

What we built

We built almost nothing on purpose. One frame on the tide line, a thirty-metre camera track, and a warm tent for the crew. The fog did the art direction.

We shot through the frame for the whole film, so the jacket is always seen between two worlds: the beach behind and the weather ahead.

What happened

The film went out as a single two-minute cut with no voiceover. The jacket sold out in the first colour within a week.
